Posted By Eric M. Android devices bearing the "Nexus" name are intended to be 100% stock Android, with all the native apps and services supported. Verizon Wireless has blocked the Google Wallet application from functioning on its Galaxy Nexus, as it is developing a competing mobile payment platform called Isis. When asked for comment about its relationship with Verizon Wireless, Google said, "Every day, Android developers openly distribute applications via Android Market. Google is also a developer within this ecosystem and we want to offer the apps we develop such as Google Wallet, so people have access to the full range of functionality offered by the platform." The GSM version of the Galaxy Nexus, which will operate on either AT&T or T-Mobile USA's networks in the U.S., can access and use Google Wallet. Verizon has not commented on the matter.
